Gants Hill Community Hub
In April 2023, the Council paused the delivery of the Gants Hill and Hainault Hub schemes, in light of rising construction costs, challenging housing market conditions and the difficult economic climate. The Council will revisit these decisions as prevailing economic conditions improve, and with them the Council's own financial position.
-------
Welcome to the Gants Hill Community Hub engagement site. The Hub will serve residents from across the Gants Hill area, including the wards of Barkingside, Clayhall, Cranbrook, Fullwell, Valentines and Aldborough.
Gants Hill Community Hub will be a new building that contains services and space for the local community at Gants Hill Library, 490 Cranbrook Road. Plans are being developed through co-design with local residents, and alongside this we are working with the community to identify priorities for the Hub and wider area.
Residents' input has shaped the feasibility study and design principles for the site, and in the next phase designs for Gants Hill Hub itself, how it should look and feel and which services and facilities should be offered.
Please explore the site and FAQs. If you would like to get in touch with us directly, you can contact us on hubs@redbridge.gov.uk.

CLOSED: This survey has concluded.
Since 2019, Redbridge Council has engaged with over 1,200 people who live, work and play in Gants Hill and the surrounding area (Barkingside, Clayhall, Cranbrook, Fullwell, Valentines and Aldborough wards). You have told us what you love about the area, things you want to change and your priorities for the future of Gants Hill.
The Gants Hill Community Vision aims to summarise what you've said, highlighting the key themes for now and the future - which we, as a Council, want to use as a basis for working with residents and partners on your priorities.
Before it's finalised, we want to invite you to feed back on it, and identify anything you want to add. The survey should only take about 5 minutes to complete - thank you in advance for helping us to complete the Gants Hill Community Vision.

In late 2020, the Gants Hill Hub Design Group was formed: a representative, independently selected group of 40 residents from across the Gants Hill area, joined by advisors and representatives from business, charity, council services and political groups. Led by RCKa architects, the group developed a set of 'design principles' which will be used to shape future plans for the site, by prioritising and defining the most important features of a future scheme.
This survey provides an opportunity for you to review, the design principles, their definitions and their prioritisation, and to identify if you feel any additional considerations are missing. The full report, including the design principles, was completed in 2021 and is accessible in the 'Key Reference Documents' tab on the main Gants Hill Hub page.
