Help shape the future of Mount Pleasant play area!

The play area on Mount Pleasant Estate has been affected by anti-social behaviour and is not being used as much as it could be. We want to bring it back into use for local children, young people and families. Before making changes, we want to know what you think. Your views will help us choose improvements that make the space safer, more welcoming and better used.

Possible ideas include:

• Removing part of the fencing and the existing slides.
• Painting the floor and adding play markings, such as hopscotch.
• Installing simple play equipment, such as a low balance bar, spinner or small trampoline.
• Planting a tree for shade
• Adding planters for community planting.

These are only ideas. No final decision has been made and your feedback will help us choose what happens next.

We are looking at funding the works from existing Council budgets. While we seek funding, we would like residents’ views to help us decide what improvements should be prioritised. Residents would not be charged directly. Ongoing upkeep would continue to be included in service charges, as it is now.
