The Estate Improvement Fund can be used to make environmental improvements in Council Housing Areas across all council-owned estates.
It is important for us to use this fund on improvements that are important to our residents. This fund can be used to enhance local areas, to benefit the wider community.
We welcome your ideas and suggestions for improvements to your local area.
The funding can be allocated to projects such as:
- Enhancing existing facilities or creating new ones
- Installing planting areas and new landscaping equipment
- Developing community gardens
- Security improvements such as improved lighting and gates
- Improvement of signage or community areas
- Upgrading waste and recycling facilities
The fund cannot be used for:
- Ongoing services or maintenance such as improving cleaning or gardening
- Works carried out as part of major works such as replacement of windows or doors
- Installaion or maintenance of cctv
- Installation or maintenance of door entry systems
- Events and activities
