Hearing young people's views on the Housing Strategy

This survey is for young people aged 11-19 who live or go to school in the borough. 

Redbridge Council want to hear from young people about their home and views on housing in their area. As the next generation of homeowners and renters it is vital we hear your opinions so we can understand what matters to you.

Have you, or someone you know ever struggled to find a decent home locally to rent or buy because of high costs? Or maybe you don’t think enough is being done to make homes suitable to meet the increasing risks the climate crisis presents, such as flooding, or extreme cold winters? These are the kind of issues we want to hear about to help us plan for your future.

Your answers will inform and become part of the councils 5 year Housing Strategy. This strategy will:

• Inform the council’s approach to the development of new homes
• The improvement of existing homes, and;
• To helping those in acute housing need, including those who are homeless or at risk of this
