Final Call for Feedback - Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls in Redbridge

We are working with key partners such as police, health and the probation service, as part of the Redbridge Community Safety Partnership to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in Redbridge.

  • The national picture

This is a big national issue and sadly one we are not immune to in Redbridge. Collectively, we recognise the seriousness of this issue both nationally and locally, and our partnership is driven to stop VAWG in all its forms, including cat-calling, stalking, violence and domestic abuse.

  • Work already underway in Redbridge

Significant work has already been undertaken in Redbridge, including the Council educating our young people on positive relationships, signs of abusive relationships, working with police on keeping our borough safer, the Council supporting survivors to stay safe when they want to remove themselves from abusive relationships through its Reach Out service, and working with partners together on schemes that support perpetrators to change their behaviour.

  • Our ask: please take two minutes to fill in the survey

We’d like your input in how we are proposing to further work to tackle this issue, one that deeply affects the lives of too many women and girls in our borough.
