In April 2023, the Council paused the delivery of the Gants Hill and Hainault Hub schemes, in light of rising construction costs, challenging housing market conditions and the difficult economic climate. The Council will revisit these decisions as prevailing economic conditions improve, and with them the Council's own financial position.
---------
Hainault Community Hub will serve residents from across Hainault and Fairlop, and will be delivered in partnership between Redbridge Council and Hainault Forest Community Association, which has served local residents for over 70 years. It will be based on Manford Way, renewing HFCA's facilities as well as investing in a state-of-the-art library, enforcement hub, activities for children and families, and a range of council services.
Plans for Hainault Community Hub will be developed through a process of co-design with local residents, which will also identify priorities for the Hub and wider area.
