Redbridge Council is committed to tackling the climate crisis and in our Climate Change Action Plan we set out our ambitions in becoming a carbon neutral organisation by 2030 and carbon zero organisation by 2050. You can view the full action plan in the documents section on the right-hand side of this page.
Whilst the climate crisis presents a challenge for Redbridge and our residents, through prompt action we can create opportunities and make a difference. We also need to think about how we can reduce the borough’s emissions profile which is why the Redbridge Climate Forum was created. Through community action we can create a thriving local network of like-minded individuals who can work together to develop new ideas, collaborate on grass roots projects and identify new ways in which we can meet the challenge of the climate crisis together.
On this page you will be able to stay informed with updates from the Redbridge Climate Forum via the news feed at the bottom of this page and you can also find out more about the Council's sustainability journey.
Please make sure that you sign up to stay in the loop and you can also share details of your own actions to tackle the climate crisis by adding events to the idea wall below!
