Council Tax Reduction Scheme 2025-26

We encourage you to review the proposals and provide your feedback, as your input is vital in helping us make informed decisions that benefit everyone in our community. 

A draft of the Council Tax Reduction Scheme for 2025-2026 can be found here . We have highlighted paragraphs 29A and 30A as these outline the specific rules that will be updated if any of the proposed changes are adopted and implemented.

Option One - Retain the current Council Tax Reduction scheme for working age residents

Under the current scheme, working age residents are entitled to the following levels of reduction.

Where calculated Council Tax Reduction is less than £10.00 per week, no Council Tax Reduction is awarded.
