This consultation has concluded and all leaseholders have been sent a summary of observations that addresses the questions raised. This document also includes the contractors details, as well as estimates for the work.
For those who have replaced your front door with a fire-compliant safety door and provided the certificate to the council, our Asset Management Team is reviewing this and will be in contact to confirm suitability.
It is the intention of The London Borough of Redbridge to replace existing front entrance and surrounding doors that are not compliant within residential buildings.
As your landlord, we are required to carry out these works in order to comply with the latest fire safety regulations made under Article 24 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 - Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. The regulations mentioned above will come into force from 23 January 2023.
