Host your own Summer Street Party

Celebrate the summer by organising a street party with your neighbours.

During His Majesty The King’s Coronation Redbridge hosted almost 100 street parties across the borough, the second highest number of street parties for any London borough, showing the strength of our local community spirit and the strong relationships between neighbours.

This year, Redbridge Council is launching Redbridge Summer Street Parties, enabling local people to close streets to traffic on weekends through the summer to host community street parties.

Hosting a street party is a great way to get to know your neighbours, give children the chance to safely play on the street, and build links in your local community. With a summer full of sporting events like the Olympics, Euro 2024, and many others, there are plenty of reasons to come together and celebrate.

If you would like to host a summer street party please fill out a form by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page, and the Council will organise for your street to be closed to traffic for a few hours on the day of your event.

The deadline to apply to host a street party is 19 July.
