    The Fund

A funding pot of £50,000 is being made available, with a maximum award from this pot for any one applicant of £3,000.

Any not for profit group or organisation is eligible to make an application so long as they meet the following criteria:

Your income in the last financial year (or average per annum over the last three years) must not exceed £100,000.

Applications are particularly encouraged from organisations whose average income in the last financial year (or average per annum over the last three years) did not exceed £50,000.

Successful applicants may be asked to evidence this ahead of funding being released.

All of the funding applied for must deliver benefit within the London Borough of Redbridge.

A maximum of one award of funding will be made from the RCSF to any applicant in a single municipal year.

The Fund will not normally make a second or subsequent award to continue a project that it has previously funded. The fund is a “seed fund”, and successful applicants are expected to seek funding from other funders to continue their project after their first award. Previously funded organisations and groups, may, however make applications for further support from the fund if the activity which they are applying for support for is different from that for which they were previously awarded funding for from the Community Seed Fund.

    The application process

You can make an application using the online application form which can be found above - just click Make an Application.

If your application is successful, you may be asked to provide further information in addition to that requested on the application form before the grant funding is released.

The Community Seed Fund will close for applications on 31 January 2025.

Applications will be assessed by Council staff and recommendations made to the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Communities to make the decision on which applications will be funded. All decisions made are final, and there is no appeals process once decisions have been made.
