We are working with our partners Vision and The Woodland Trust to preserve, protect and enhance Hainault Forest for future generations. We were successful in securing over £7 million to restore and enhance Hainault Forest with funding and support from the Mayor's Good Growth Fund and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.


We have undertaken a major redevelopment of Hainault Forest which has included:

-Renovation of the Victorian barns

-Creation of a new visitor hub with event space and cafe

-Creation of The Woodland Trust Visitor Centre

-Restoration of forest land

-Creation of a new woodland-inspired children's playground

-Improvements to Foxburrow's Farm

-Introduction of a Changing Places facility

  • Hainault Forest -Volunteer Survey

    Please complete this survey about your experiences of volunteering at Hainault Forest.   Your feedback is important and will help improve their future volunteering programme here and in other local green spaces.  Your feedback will also help to evaluate the impact of the National Lottery Heritage Fund project at Hainault Forest.

    We are not looking for just positive comments but an honest reflection on your volunteering experience.

    There are 23 questions and it will take between 15 and 20 minutes to complete. The survey will close on Monday 12th August 2024.  

    Your feedback will be kept anonymous. We may quote you in a case study about volunteering, the end-of-project evaluation report or elsewhere, but these quotes will not be attributed to you.
