Redbridge Council, in partnership with TfL, is committed to enhancing bus travel across the borough by replacing Hail and Ride sections with fixed bus stops. These improvements are designed to make journeys more reliable, efficient, and accessible for all passengers.
By providing clearly defined stopping points and prioritising buses on busy routes, these changes will reduce delays, improve travel times, and offer a more predictable service. This approach supports the increased use of public transport, helping to ease congestion, lower air pollution, and strengthen connectivity across Redbridge.
Importantly, these proposals have been carefully designed to have no significant impact on car users, ensuring that improvements to the bus network benefit public transport passengers without disrupting other road users.
The removal of hail and ride sections of the 366 bus route are being proposed at two sections of the route:
Part 1 between Redbridge Station and Roding Lane South
