Bus Priority Cranbrook Road approaching Gants Hill
Please Note:
The formal consultation has been paused, however we are still collating informal feedback which can be sent to buses@redbridge.gov.uk
Redbridge Council, in partnership with TfL, is committed to enhancing bus travel across the borough by introducing dedicated bus lanes in key locations. These improvements are designed to make journeys more reliable, efficient, and accessible for all passengers.
By prioritising buses on busy routes, these changes will reduce delays, improve travel times, and offer a more predictable service. This approach supports the increased use of public transport, helping to ease congestion, lower air pollution, and strengthen connectivity across Redbridge.
Importantly, these proposals have been carefully designed to have no significant impact on car users, ensuring that improvements to the bus network benefit public transport passengers without disrupting other road users. The proposals use existing road space to keep the running lane on Cranbrook Road by removing the cross hatchings and using existing carriageway width.
Extending the existing bus lane along Cranbrook Road approaching Gants Hill between Bramley Crescent and Blenheim Avenue. Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm.
