In order to improve the availability of existing disabled parking bays for more disabled users, a new maximum stay of 2 hours (no return within 1 hour) is proposed. This would generally apply to existing disabled parking bays that are near shopping areas.

What happens next?
As part of the consultation process, we are now inviting any objections or other representations to these proposals. This consultation closes on Friday 03 October 2025.
