We are pleased to announce that, as part of the Love the Lane project and in collaboration with Redbridge Museum, we have successfully completed Stories of The Lane - an exhibition about Ilford Lane and its people. Stories of The Lane aims to celebrate the area and its residents, fostering a sense of belonging and cohesion.
A digital exhibition features text, images, videos, and audio interviews, linking the area’s history (stretching back to the Ice Age) with the personal stories and memories shared by local people.
To complement the digital exhibition, we have installed a storytelling sign, at the beginning of Ilford Lane, welcoming people and showcasing selected highlights from the full display. If you’d like to explore the complete digital exhibition, please visit here https://engage.redbridge.gov.uk/hub-page/stories-of-the-lane-exhibition.
