Redbridge Climate Forum - Tuesday 8th July 2025
The next Redbridge Climate Forum takes place on Tuesday 8 July, 6.30pm – 8.00pm, in the Studios at Redbridge Central Library, and will focus Redbridge’s draft Climate Change Strategy which will guide the Council’s decarbonisation and sustainability efforts over the next 5 years.
It is free to attend, and is open to all local people, businesses and community groups. You don’t need to have attended any previous forums to take part, and there is no booking required – just turn up.
If you are passionate about sustainability or just curious about local efforts to tackle the climate emergency, come along and get involved. You can share your views to help shape the borough’s Climate Change Strategy to help ensure the final document is impactful and meets the needs of the local community.
Kicking off the activities for the evening, there will be a presentation on the draft Climate Change Strategy, interactive group discussions, and opportunities to share your views on it. The Forum is also a chance to find out about local green projects you can get involved with, meet new people, network, and share ideas.
Cabinet Member for Environment and Sustainability Cllr Jo Blackman said: “The Redbridge Climate Forum is an important platform to bring local communities together to help tackle the climate emergency we’re currently facing. The upcoming forum in particular is an opportunity to share ideas and gather local views to help shape Redbridge’s Climate Change Strategy. The Council cannot lead change alone, which is why we need to work together as one community to tackle the climate crisis. By acting together to address the causes and impacts of climate change we can make our borough a better place to live, work and visit.”
