The Council has received a petition signed by 33 local residents requesting that new permit parking controls are introduced into Croft Lodge Close. This is in response to concerns over a lack of parking space for local residents with existing single yellow lines prohibiting on-street parking from 2 to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

HAVE YOUR SAY

We are consulting you to see whether you would support removing the existing single yellow lines in Croft Lodge Close and replacing these with new permit parking controls, thereby protecting local parking spaces for local properties only. A decision will be made based on the responses received to this consultation. It is important that you have your say. Please carefully read the information in this leaflet before completing the survey at the bottom of this page.

HOW DOES PERMIT PARKING WORK?

Single yellow lines would be removed from Croft Lodge Close. The existing footway parking bays, including the car park at the end of the close, would be protected for local permit holders only during the controlled times of operation. New permit parking signs would be displayed advising drivers of these permit controls.

The plan available on this webpage shows how these new parking controls would look.

Permit holders would be able to park in the road at any time for as long as needed. Only those that live within the permit parking area would be eligible to apply for parking permits.

The operating days and times of the proposed permit controls would be decided based on the responses received to this consultation.

Double yellow lines, prohibiting parking at all times, are also proposed where there is a need to maintain access along the road.
