Hainault Hub design process kicks off

Residents from Hainault and Fairlop have been meeting to shape the future Hainault Community Hub scheme on Manford Way.

The group is made up of 30 residents, from as young as 11-years-old, and come from a range of different backgrounds representing the wider community. They are being supported by representatives from other local organisations and charities, including partner organisation Hainault Forest Community Association.

The group toured Manford Way and explored what makes Hainault and Fairlop unique, and their future vision for the area. Residents also got hands-on with building blocks to develop different options for the scheme, taking into consideration the Hub services, activities, parking, housing and green space they want to see on the site.

The sessions will run until 16th January 2023. The insights from the co-design process will form a set of ‘design principles’ which will establish the foundations for future plans for the scheme.
