The annual public health report is produced to help address health needs and health inequalities across the borough. It is used to help improve our community's health and quality of life.
This year's report pays particular attention to mental health.
1 in 6 adults in the UK are affected by mental health issues; in Redbridge alone there are more people living with a mental health conditions, to those with diabetes and cancer combined. Of those who identify as LGBTQ+ this rises to as many as 9 in 10.
This report considers the barriers and discrimination people may face, and the impact these have on accessing services. It looks at health inequalities within our borough.
