Housing re-registration and Redbridge Homes 4 U

Redbridge Homes 4 U, the housing re-registration site, is now live!!
Redbridge Council is moving to a new Choice Based Lettings (CBL) platform from 1 June 2025. Redbridge Homes 4 U will make management of the limited supply of social housing properties easier to advertise and allocate.
We need your help
If you are currently registered on the housing register, you WILL need to re-register on the new system before 31st May 2025 to continue to bid on properties. You can continue to bid for homes on the ELLC website until this date. If you do not register by this date, you will not be able to bid for social housing in Redbridge, which may impact your waiting time.
Please go to Redbridge Homes 4 U to register on the new housing register
If you want to bid on social housing between now and 1 June 2025, you will need to register on our existing Waitlist (ELLC) and on the new Housing Register (Redbridge Homes 4 U).
Your effective date and band on the current housing register will be honoured on the new system to ensure existing priority is maintained.
To help you register on the new housing register we have created a video and written guides, and a set of frequently asked questions. See left of screen.
Our team of officers will be processing a large volume of applications, so please be patient with us during this time. We will be in contact with you as soon as possible - please do not contact us during this period as this may slow down your application.
These changes are being made following recent consultation on the housing allocation scheme whereby Redbridge Council asked you to share your views. Consultation is now complete. The allocations policy has been approved by cabinet members and can be found under Key Documents.
This scheme informs how we allocate housing both in and out of the borough and prioritises the people on the housing register.
The new housing allocations scheme:
Sets out clearly how we allocate and let social housing in the borough
Ensures decisions are made fairly and with clear reasons
Makes it easier to understand the eligibility criteria, who qualifies, and who we cannot house
Improves the way we prioritise people. This is especially important given the high demand for the few properties that are available to let each year
Makes sure we comply with recent legislation and good practice
